A-Game Labs · Last updated 30 August 2026

This policy explains what personal data the a-gamelabs.com website processes, why, and what rights you have. We’ve kept it short on purpose — this is a simple, single-page website with no user accounts, no e-commerce, and no forms of its own, so there isn’t much to process in the first place.

Who we are

A-Game Labs is a community strategy consultancy for game studios, operated by:

A-Game Labs is the data controller for the processing described below, except where noted that another party is the controller (see Calendly, below).

What data we process, and why

The website itself is intentionally minimal. It does not use cookies, does not run any analytics or advertising trackers (no Google Analytics, no Meta or LinkedIn pixels), has no contact form, no newsletter sign-up, and no user accounts. All fonts used on the site are self-hosted directly from this domain — none are loaded from Google or any other third party. Here is everything that does happen:

1. Hosting and server logs (Netlify)

The site is hosted on Netlify. Like virtually any web server, Netlify automatically records standard technical logs for every visit, including your IP address, browser/user-agent string, timestamp, and the page requested. This is used only for keeping the site running securely (e.g. detecting abuse or outages) — it isn’t used to track or profile visitors.

Legal basis: legitimate interest

2. Calendly (booking a call)

The “Book a Strategy Session” and “Let’s Talk” buttons link out to an external Calendly page (calendly.com/julio-a-gamelabs/30min). If you choose to use it, Calendly collects your name, email address, and anything else you enter when booking a session — under Calendly’s own privacy policy, not ours. A-Game Labs does not receive or store this booking data on the website itself; Calendly acts as an independent controller for that data.

Legal basis: your own action in booking

3. The “email us” link

The contact@a-gamelabs.com link simply opens your own email client so you can write to us if you choose. No data is transmitted to or stored by the website through this link — it’s just a shortcut.

4. LinkedIn link

The site links out to Julio Vargas’s personal LinkedIn profile. Clicking it takes you to LinkedIn; no data is exchanged on the a-gamelabs.com site itself.

Who we share data with

We do not sell or share data with anyone beyond these two service providers, and we do not use any trackers, ad networks, third-party analytics, or third-party font/asset providers.

International data transfers

Calendly is a US-based company. Where personal data is transferred to them outside the EU/EEA, that transfer relies on the safeguards Calendly has in place — such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or applicable adequacy frameworks. We encourage you to review Calendly’s own privacy documentation for the specifics of how they handle international transfers, since those are decisions made and maintained by them, not by us.

Netlify, our hosting provider, operates a global content delivery network. Where this involves processing outside the EU/EEA, Netlify’s own data processing agreement and standard contractual clauses apply.

How long we keep data

Your rights under GDPR

As a data subject, you have the right to:

Given the minimal scope of processing on this site (mostly technical hosting logs), most of these rights are more directly exercised with Calendly for data they control on your behalf when you book a session. For anything related to our own hosting logs, just get in touch using the details below.
